Vladislav Safonov specialises in international trade and customs law, exchange regulations and WTO law. He also advises clients on industrial policy and import phase- out issues and has regularly assessed the regulatory impact of draft laws affecting foreign trade operators.
Vladislav has extensive experience of projects to challenge unlawful decisions/actions on the part of customs and other government authorities and has advised clients on a broad range of foreign trade matters. He focuses particularly on all aspects of tariff classification projects and has a proven track record of challenging customs classification decisions. One of Vladislav’s project has been featured in The Legal 500. Vladislav has participated in a number of investigations carried by the Eurasian Economic Commission.
He also advises clients on various aspects of Russia’s accession to the WTO (such as subsidies, customs measures).
