ALUMNI Partners advices GBFoods on selling its Russian and CIS business

ALUMNI Partners has successfully advised GBFoods S.A on the the selling of its Russian and CIS production and distribution business to HYSG Group.
The GBFoods has a diversified portfolio of culinary products including the famous Gallina Blanca and operates through a geographical footprint in Western Europe, Russia and CIS, Baltics, and Africa. The company is a part of the Spain-based Agrolimen Group, one of the largest food producers in Europe. In 2021, the revenue of the Russian subsidiary CJSC Europe Foods GB amounted to 1.6 billion rubles.
HYSG Group is a global food company, part of the South Korean holding company HY Group, operating many brands including Doshirak with its headquarters located in the Republic of Korea. In 2020, HY Group had revenues of $1.8 billion. With this transaction, HYSG Group will continue to produce instant food products on the enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod area, Russia, but under its new brand.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, but according to expert estimates, the value of the Russian company could be in the order of $10 million.
